Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALVIN FREDERICK (POPS) SCHMEICHEL Alvin Frederick (Pops) Schmeichel, 73, of Winnipeg, MB, passed away on September 9, 2013 in Winnipeg. Alvin was born in Winnipeg to Fred and Edith on November 10, 1938. He worked as a Conductor for Via Rail for 31 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, ice fishing, gardening, and handyman jobs round the house. Alvin is survived by his mother, Edith Rosen of Winnipeg, partner Irene Fellowes, brother Donald (Gloria), sister Susan, son Bill (Pamela), niece Patricia (Randy). He is also survived by Darlene (Keith), Dennis (Denyse), Dale (Tammy-Lynn), Darrell (Connie), Darren (Alvina) and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Fred Schmeichel and brother-in-law, Marshall Johnson. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Seven Oaks Hospital 5th floor Staff. Funeral service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. 204-586-8044
