THOMAS LEWIS (LEW) MATHIE 1927 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Thomas Lewis (Lew) Mathie on Friday, September 6, 2013, aged 86 years, of Winnipeg MB, and beloved husband of the late Dawna Mathie. Lew is survived by two children, who were by his side when he passed away, daughter, Rae-Ann and son, Sean (Linn) Mathie. Lew is also survived by one brother, Frank (Gerry) Mathie. He was predeceased by his wife Dawna in 1998 and son, Bruce Mathie in 1986. Cremation has taken place and no formal funeral service will be held. Thank you to Dr. D. Sutherland of Cancer Care for her compassion and all her kind help as well as to all the doctors and nursing staff of St. Boniface General Hospital for helping at such a difficult time. Memorial donations may be made in Lew's memory to CancerCare Foundation, 675 McDermot Ave., Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
