Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM P. RODKO Bill Rodko passed away on September 16, 2013 at Charleswood Personal Care Home, with family by his side. Bill was born October 23, 1927. His wife Mary, mother Phyllis, father Samuel, brother Eugene, and grandson Kody, predeceased him. He is survived by his sister Bernice Moskal-Frick, daughters Debra Wheaton (Hubert), Karen Tavares (Joao), son Bill Rodko (Edie), granddaughter Cheryl Wheaton (James), grandson John Tavares (Ashley), great-granddaughters Amber and Sabrina, and great-grandsons Tristan and Dalton. Bill was employed with Interbake Foods, and was well known to family and friends as the candy and cookie man. He was a long time member of A.C.T. Associated Canadian Travelers, and an avid curler. Dad enjoyed many years at the family cabin at Dorothy Lake in Whiteshell Provincial Park. Bill and Mary lived and raised their family on Sharp Blvd. In St. James. He was also a snowbird and escaped the winters to Mesa, Arizona with his friend Della Colter. The family would like to thank all the health care workers at Charleswood, for their care. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Alzheimer's, or Multiple Sclerosis. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue, with reception to follow.
