EVERT BOTTERWEG 1928-2013 On Sunday, September 23, at the Victoria Hospital with his wife and friends by his side, we bid farewell to Evert. Evert came to Canada in 1952 from the Netherlands his working life was spent with The Girling Global Insurance Company as a safety Inspector. When he came to Winnipeg in 1979 he joined the Dutch Canadian Society first as a Treasurer and then as a President. He spent 10 great years in Weslaco, Texas every winter. He also enjoyed cruising. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 46 years. Doreen, daughter, Brenda Fairly, son Ralph, stepson Toby, six grandchildren and one great-grandson. Evert's biggest project was keeping the boiler in good operating condition at Crescent Fort Rouge United Church. Evert your projects are all complete.   • My Wife and I, my Sister/her Husband and kids attended many Happy dinners, at my Mother's house, with Doreen and Evert. Always Lovely occasions, meals, conversations.
