DONALD (DAN) KALYNUIK Peacefully on Monday, September 23, 2013, Dan Kalynuik at the age of 88 passed away at the Grace General Hospital with his loving wife Stella of 63 years and granddaughter Melanie at his side. Dan was predeceased by his son Larry, father Bill; mother Katie; sisters Elsie, Evangeline, and Annette, and his brother Alec. Left to cherish his memory are his beautiful wife Stella; three sons, Wayne, Rick and Gerald; five grand-children; Jamie, Jennifer, Melanie, Jason, and Klayton, and four great-grandchildren; James, Avery, Abigail, and Shawna. He was a wonderful Dad, Gigi, and Husband and will be greatly missed. On Friday, September 27, 2013 Dan's Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue, Winnipeg MB. Dan (big "D"), was much loved and respected by all who knew him. In the earliest years of knowing the Kalynuik family, I had always looked up to him, as he always greeted me with a smile. He was great to talk to and relate with on any subject. I am at a loss to find the right words to comfort the Kalynuik family at this time. I can only say, the world was a better place with his presence. My heart especially goes out to my longest & closest friend 'Gerald' who I know loved and cherished his relationship with his father and often spoke highly of him whenever we were together. I've always felt a close bond with the entire family throughout my life. Dan will be extremely missed. His memory will never fade from my mind and will always keep him close to my heart.
