Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY ENNS Mary Enns, first born to Henry K. and Annie Enns (Wiebe), passed away September 26, 2013 at Donwood Manor. Mary was born May 10, 1926 in the Winkler Manitoba area, the oldest daughter of six girls. Mary was predeceased by her parents and brother-in-law Eugene Van Volkenburgh. She is survived by siblings Tina (Rob) Harvey, Toronto, ON, Susan Van Volkenburgh, Kingston ON, Anne (Abe) Hyde, Winnipeg, Lena (Heinz) Strissel, Fergus, ON, Betty (Peter) Braun, Winnipeg. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Portage Avenue Church, 1420 Portage Avenue, with viewing prior to the service. Interment following in Winkler Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee, available at the church.

When one reads the novel "True Grit" by Charles Portis, one cannot help but to see a good measure of our beloved Aunt Mary in the character of Mattie Ross. And as such, Aunt Mary will be dearly missed by those of us she touched so deeply with love and kindness. Aunt Mary may you rest easy, at home, in Heaven with your parents.
