JAMES ARTHUR BRUCE
Date of Passing: Sep 27, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES ARTHUR BRUCE It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and pepere, James Arthur Bruce, on September 27, 2013, at the age of 70 years. Jim will be dearly missed by his wife Fleurette; daughter Monica (Brent); son Stephen (Michelle); and grandchildren Vanessa (Tanner) and Jenna (Griffin). Also left to cherish his memory are his mother Jeanne; his sisters Myrna (Wayne), Doreen (Laurent), Gisele (Bob), Carol (Monte), Barbara (Mallory), Kathleen (Greg), Lucille, Jeanette; his brothers Gerald (Sandra), Ron (Yvette); his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Robert (Serena), Dolores, Ernest (Jacinthe), Rolande (Robert), Claude (Nancy), Andre, Debbie (Al), Guy (Shirley), Yvon (Charlene); his numerous nephews and nieces; and by so many good friends. Jim was predeceased by his father Arthur Bruce; his father-in-law Yves Lambert; and mother-in-law Edmee Lambert. Jim was born on August 26, 1943, and grew up in St. Laurent, MB. He married his soulmate Fleurette on October 1, 1966. Jim's greatest joys were his wife, his children and grandchildren. He was so very proud of them, telling all who would listen of their accomplishments. He was a hard worker. Jim loved driving his trucks and loved fishing so much that he could never give them up fully to retire. He had a passion for horses till the day he died. He looked forward to his yearly Florida vacation and spent the last three summers of his life dancing, joking and laughing with all his friends at Poplar Bay Resort. He lived a healthy life right to the end and had been a major part of so many peoples lives. It was a privilege to know Jim and his passing has left a very empty place in our lives. In honouring Jim's wishes, no formal service will be held. A private family gathering has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to CancerCare Manitoba or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba (both horrible diseases suffered by his parents). Dad we appreciate everything you have done for us and your love and kindness live on through each of us forever. You are a special person and we will miss you very much! Jim was always a very true friend in high school. He made us laugh and was considerate when things were going wrong. I was in the same class with Jim, Myrna and Doreen and always considered them as very precious friends. I am sending condolences to all the family and also to my cousins, the Lamberts. Dear Mrs. Bruce and family. I am so sorry. I'm lost for words. Jim was the nicest and most considerate man I ever had the honour to meet, work with and call a friend. If this world had more men like Jim it would be such a better place. My phone call every X-mas was so special to me. My wife Nancy felt like she knew Jim because I would talk about Jim and I working together after our x-mas call. Please pass on to your family Jim will always be in my heart as he is in all yours forever, love Jim. - Posted by: Jim Holt (Friend / Co-worker) on: Oct 03, 2013
