I did not have the privilege of knowing Mr. Rempel, but am helping out at my boyfriend's company making some calls to all of our customers, and was quite saddened to find he had passed away. I lost my mother last year - she was a similar age - so I am very moved by those experiencing grief. We are very sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Melanie Preston (Lacy West Jewellery Supplies) on: Jun 17, 2015

Ron & I dated in high school. He was the first boy I was ever allowed to go with to the movies. Unfortunately, we went to see Dr. Zhivago and because I had to be home by midnight we never got to see the end of it. We remained friends in college and became re-acquainted after 30-some years. He spoke so proudly of his son. I was very saddened to hear of his passing and would like to extend my deepest sympathy to his family. Although I can't be in Winnipeg for the memorial I will be wearing one of his horseshoe nail necklaces on Saturday, along with a beautiful cameo necklace that he gave me so many years ago. He will be missed and fondly remembered. - Posted by: Kathy (Horch) Wadsworth (Friend) on: Oct 04, 2013

Ron was instrumental in my beginnings as a stained glass artisan...never giving up, always with kind words and advice. When I drifted to jewellery and then photography Ron still had those wonderful things to say. Ron was one of a kind, and I'm so incredibly happy I was able to call him my friend. - Posted by: Kevin Kodak (Friend) on: Oct 03, 2013
