SHARON LYNNE HOLLOWAY 1947 - 2013 Sharon Holloway, also known as Penney Holloway, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. She had been battling cancer bravely for almost a year and did her very best, but the disease was too much for her and with the loss of her love Gordon Robert Holloway weeks earlier she was ready to pass on and be reunited with him. Sharon was born September 13, 1947 in Victoria B.C., but called Winnipeg her home for a number of years before eventually moving to Niverville, where she lived out the rest of her life. She leaves behind her son Dan, daughters Shannon Kjear (Chris, Erik), Susan Holloway (Derek, Walker, Rowan), brother Alex Vashers (June), and her best friend Shirley MacDonald. Sharon had a 27 year career as manager for the duty free shop located in the Winnipeg International Airport, the store had changed companies a few times during her period. She retired in the fall of 2012. All in all she was a private person, she enjoyed playing slots and mini games on facebook, she enjoyed reading, and was always interested in hearing what her grandson Erik was up to! Special thanks To Shannon, Chris and Erik Kjear and the rest of the Holloway family for welcoming and embracing my mom and I into your family. And a very special thanks to all of you who were there in her final time. Much love as well to the staff of the St Pierre-Jolys hospital for their care of Sharon, great people. In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place and a burial service will take place Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brookside Cemetery. I love you forever mom, gone to soon... We would like to offer our deepest sympathies to the Holloway family and close friends who knew her best. Penney and I worked together for about 7 years, she in Winnipeg and I in head office. We shared a few laughs over the years and certainly early on I got to know Penney for her passion for retail and her unique way of speaking her mind. A special person with a lot of heart is what we will remember most. May you rest in peace⦠You will be missed! - Posted by: Deb and Dean McGoldrick (Friends and ex- colleague ) on: Oct 08, 2013

My heart felt sympathies to you Danny, and to the Holloway family, my heart is broken, and filled with sadness, I always had hope that Penney and I would rekindle our friendship, I believe we did but from a distance .We had so much fun. I will miss her but I have all those memories to look back on, and those memories will always keep her close to me. I am happy I got to see her, and you Danny after all these years. I love you both very much - Posted by: Joanne Crawford (friend) on: Oct 05, 2013
