Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAZEL SCHULTZ Hazel Schultz, aged 82 years, wife of Norman Schultz, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2013. Hazel is survived by her husband Norman and her children; Susan Norman of Oliver, BC (Rick 1999), daughters Jill (Larry) and Stephanie (Brad); Ralph Schultz of Winnipeg (Kathy), sons Alec, Sam and Chase; Daniel Schultz of Winnipeg (Diane), daughters Olivia and Madeline. Hazel was born July 28, 1931 in Selkirk, the youngest of 10 children, she spent most of her early years in Oak Hammock then moved to Winnipeg with the family when she was nine. Hazel met her husband Norman in 1951 and married in 1952. They moved to Matlock in 1962 and raised their family there. Hazel kept bees, raised horses, cattle and chicken. She had a large garden every year, which she canned, pickled and froze most of what she grew. Hazel was an amazing cook and baker; cooking numerous delicious meals for family and friends. Hazel was at her happiest when she was feeding people. Hazel will be lovingly remembered by family and friends. She always had a positive attitude, sunny disposition and a great sense of humour. The family would like to express gratitude to Dr. M. Louden, the nurses and staff of Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital and a special thank you to Home Care who enabled Hazel to stay at home as long as possible. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk. Donations and flowers gratefully declined.
