Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORMA MAE HILL (nee WORKMAN) December 13, 1925 - October 7, 2013 Norma passed away peacefully on October 7, 2013 at the Grace Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford Howard Hill on March 9, 1988. Norma and Cliff met at Pine Ridge Golf Club and were later married on July 4, 1968. During their years together, they travelled the world, golfed at the most prestigious courses and enjoyed their cabin at Falcon Lake. Together they opened the first Mexican restaurant in Winnipeg, "The Mexican Village", later renamed "La Hacienda". They also owned a number of Gondola Pizza franchises and gas stations. Norma's favourite pastimes were spending time with family and friends and going to the casino. The highlight of Norma's last year was a family reunion in late July, at the Little Britain Church in St. Andrews, Manitoba, where she met a number of cousins and made many new friends. Norma is survived by her stepdaughter Diane Chipura, niece Kathy Swar (Jack), their three sons Sean (Jodi) - son Andrew, Tyler and Erik. Cousin Craig Gillon (Kim) and their daughters Jenna and Kelly, Brent (Monique) and their daughters Sarah and Elyse and all her extended family and friends too numerous to mention. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses on the 3rd floor at the Grace Hospital for the care and comfort they provided Norma. A private graveside service will be held at Glen Eden. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Norma's name to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website.
