Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTELLA GERTRUDE NOBISS (nee KULCHYSKI) August 11, 1923 - October 7, 2013 It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that the family would like to announce the passing of Stella Nobiss on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Seven Oaks Hospital after a very recent fall in her home at the lovely age of 90 years. She leaves to mourn her loving husband George of 66 and a half years having lived in their home together on Bannerman for 64 of those years; her son Jeffrey Nobiss; her daughters Barbara McCulloch (Dan) and Margaret Tees (Dave); granddaughter Brenda Tees (Phil) and great-grandson Cody and sister Emily Kulchyski. She was predeceased by her son Lawrence (37) in 1993 and her grandson Greg Tees (28) in 2002 and many brothers and sisters over the years. Stella was born in Estevan, Saskatchewan and moved to Winnipeg where she worked as a waitress and where she met a young gentlemen in an army uniform who became the love of her life. Her family meant the world to her. She enjoyed going to the cottage and was able to go many weekends this summer where she watched the hummingbirds and loved looking at the moon. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed. A service will take place on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery). In lieu of flowers if friends so desire donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. To Mr. Nobiss, Margaret, Barbara, and Jeff. Dennis and I were saddened to learn of Mrs. Nobiss's passing. I met Mrs. Nobiss as a young girl who, as a friend of Margaret's, was always welcomed into the family home, a home full of love. I was always greeted with a big smile and a lovely warmth and later so too was my husband, Dennis. I always marvelled then and now at the love and respect that Mr. & Mrs. Nobiss shared for each other. I remember Mrs. Nobiss as a modest woman who was devoted to her husband and children whom she loved, cherished and treasured. My condolences to the family on Stella's passing. I remember the Nobisses as a very kind, patient and helpful couple to my family over the years while living on Bannerman. My thoughts go out to George and Jeffrey and to Jeffrey's sisters and their families.
