DOROTHY MARION WILSON (nee DEWALD) September 26th, 1925 - October 7th, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of an amazing mother, grandmother and friend. Left to mourn her loss is her son Gary (Debbie), grandsons David (Danielle), Danny (Kira) and son in-law Randy. She was predeceased by her parents Katherine (nee Gessner) and Wilhelm Dewald, her husband James, daughter Heather, sisters Elsie (Ernie), Gertrude (Walter), Margaret (Nicholas) and two brothers, Bill (Viola) and Paul (Mae). Dorothy was born in her family home on Boyd Avenue in Winnipeg, MB. She attended Machray and St. John's High School, later moving onto Manitoba Commercial College. In her early years, Dorothy worked for the Department of Health from 1944-1957. After which she worked for various departments as Secretary to the Minister of the Crown until retirement in 1991. She enjoyed playing crib and whist at the St. James Legion and Brooklands Pioneer Seniors Club. Her favorite pastime was completing crosswords. She never missed the chance to finish one. She was a beautiful woman with a great sense of style, and an unforgettable sense of humor. She loved getting a rise out of the family and making us laugh until we cried. A celebration of Dorothy's life will take place on Tuesday, October 15th at 11:00 a.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery). In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy's memory can be made to a charity of one's choice. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com
