Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVELYN LINDQUIST Peacefully and with the Grace of Our Lord, Evelyn Lindquist (nee Cederwall) passed away on Monday, October 14, 2013. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Eric Olaf Lindquist, her mother-in-law Ebba Alice Lindquist, father-in-law Leonard Olaf Lindquist and her mother Elsie Wallin (nee Cederwall). She is survived by her daughter Sandi McLaren, son-in-law Clint and their daughters Katherine and Kristine and by her son Jonathan and his children Alyshia, Julie-Ann and Joshua Lindquist. She is also survived by many Cederwall relatives in Ontario. Evelyn was born in Winnipeg in 1931 and raised in Laclu, ON with her aunts and uncles on her grandparents' farm. She spent many wonderful days exploring the countryside, and worked hard at being the very best student in her one room school in Pellatt, ON. She met Eric at a Luther League event in 1951 and they were married in Winnipeg in 1953 where they began their life together. Evelyn worked as a bookkeeper for many years, including at Lindquist Bros. Ltd. Evelyn retired from MTS. Evelyn and Eric spent 25 years volunteering for the country of Sweden in Folklorama's Scandinavian Pavilion. Each year, they would disassemble their home and move it to the Pavilion and Evelyn would head to the kitchen facilities to cook and arrange huge platters of Swedish open faced sandwiches. Evelyn was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church for many years. Evelyn took great interest in the activities of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed their visits and always made a point of keeping up to date on their comings and goings. She loved family outings and nothing thrilled her more than a stop at Red Lobster with the family. She also enjoyed the "Coffee Parties" and Bingo nights at her residence at Fort Garry Rotary Villa. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery). Private Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation to charities supporting children would be appreciated. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com

Evelyn was and always will be a wonderful person. She touched my life and was there for me and her grandchildren when they needed her. she will be missed. Even when we had our problems as we sometimes did, I will always love her and miss her terribly. She was the one that taught me that no matter how bad things got there was always a way to work thru the hard times and make them better. I'm really sorry that for the last few years I wasn't there for her .. even if it was to talk to her .. I will always love her and miss her. - Posted by: Patricia Lindquist (ex-daughter in law) on: Oct 16, 2013

We have so many fond memories of Auntie Evelyn and family coming and spending time at 'the farm'. Many happy times picking blueberries, swimming and just spending time together. Both of us have had many long telephone conversations with Auntie in the past couple of years and we will miss seeing her number on the phone. She will be missed. - Posted by: Charlene and Becky Sharples (Nieces) on: Oct 15, 2013
