Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOREEN LYDIA KLASSEN (nee WOOD) June 30, 1927 October 15, 2013 Doreen went to her Heavenly home, peacefully on October 15, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband, Philip in 1999. She and Phil enjoyed 50 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her sister, Jacqueline and brother, George. Doreen was the eldest of five (Jacqueline, Yvonne, Edward and George). She looked forward to the frequent letters from her loving sister Yvonne. Mom will be greatly missed by her family; her son, Henry (Stacey), her daughter Phyllis (Raymond), grandchildren Ray (Kristen) and Marie and her great-granddaughter Isla. She will also be missed by her best friend and fishing buddy, Harold. Mom's loves were her family, animals, poetry, garage sales and fishing. She was so proud to earn her Master Angler license in her 80s. Before her stroke, two years ago, she would listen to her records and dance around her apartment. Mom kept her wits and sense of humour until the end and was still able to recite the alphabet backwards. That was just something her mom taught her when they were bored one day. Mom was very proud of her English/ Scottish heritage. The family would like to thank the staff at Middlechurch Personal Care Home and the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their kindness and care.
