FRANCES ELIZABETH SYMANSKI (nee OBIREK) Our dear mother passed away peacefully at home on October 18, 2013. She will be deeply missed and memories of her will be cherished by her six children; Joanne, June (Craig), Diane, Jim, Robert and Ken (Dianna); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom was predeceased by her husband Walter, and several of her brothers and sisters. Mom worked hard and lovingly all her life for her family. She always had a smile on her face and a contagious sense of humour. Even the little things she did for us meant a lot. Mom was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed working outside in her gardens. Our mother also enjoyed travelling with our father (without the kids). A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rose Room at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. CROPO 204-586-8044

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Ken, Dianna and families I only met your Mom once at Dianna's wedding shower, but her warmth and caring showed through in that short afternoon. My thoughts are with all of you! - Posted by: Judith Somerville-Jones and family (Aunt of dianna and Ken) on: Oct 24, 2013

  • We send our sympathy out to the whole family, from our family. Auntie Frances was always fun to spend time with. We spent many summer holiday sleepovers at her place, as kids. Growing up with our cousins was always great fun ! Lots of memories to be had; including swimming in Cooks Creek on those hot summer days. And Auntie Frances's cooking/baking couldn't be beat by anyone. Terry & Jack Eshelman & Family - Posted by: Terry Eshelman (niece) on: Oct 23, 2013

  • we were very sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. We didn't know her personally but she must have been a great lady to have a son like Ken. Our prayers go to you and all your family. love Auntie Linda and Uncle Joe - Posted by: Linda and Joe Domich ( Relative of children) on: Oct 23, 2013
