CAROL WERNER January 1, 1943 - October 21, 2013 JACK WERNER April 25, 1943 - September 7, 2013 Carol Werner peacefully passed away at home with her family by her side. She recently lost the love of her life, Jack, of 57 years on September 7, 2013. Remaining to cherish their memory are their children Michael (Carole), Lori (Layne) and Shane (Angela), grandchildren Kelsey (Chris), Brittany, Christopher, Riley and Noah, great-grandchildren Jordyn and Marlee, and her dog Daisy. Carol wanted to meet her great-granddaughter Marlee but was unable to, as she passed away just one day after Marlee was born. Carol was predeceased by her parents Gladys and Herbert Barley and multiple brothers and sisters. Our loving parents and grandparents would have been married 52 years on October 28, 2013. Jack and Carol had three beautiful children whom they cherished and loved so very much, they were very proud of them. All of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren were spoiled rotten with love and knickknacks from Dollarama. Jack and Carol had a cottage in Arnes for many years, they always welcomed all friends and family. The cottage was filled with many memories and good times from family reunions, peanut scrambles, to having wiener roasts and sing songs by the fire. Every year for as long as we can remember, Jack and Carol enjoyed their winter vacations, their favourite place to be was Antigua and more recently Puerto Vallarta. They also loved going to the legion and would celebrate Carol's birthday there every New Year's Eve. Cremation has taken place and there will be a private graveside service at a later date. A very special thank you to Carol and Jack's palliative care nurse Dana and CancerCare for all their support. The family would greatly appreciate that any donations be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 1160 - 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com

My sincere condolences on the passing of Carol and Jack. They were two amazing people and they have left a huge imprint on my heart. Carol and Jack showed such kindness and caring towards my children and they will remember this. Our hearts and prayers go out to you in the loss of both of your parents in far too short a time. - Posted by: Mary Meisner (Sister-in-law) on: Oct 28, 2013

We wish to express our deepest sympathy to the family. I (Helen) have known Jack & Carol for over 30 years and have many fond memories. My best is when Jack & Carol (with the help of Lori) fixed me up with a dear friend of theirs (Glenn). We married and have been together 11 years. Glenn and Jack met in Calgary when they were both employed at Transx. Glenn remembers all the crazy fun times that he shared with both Jack & Carol. Thank you for all the great memories & the good times. You will be missed but always remembered. On behalf of my mother (Marija Vrbanic, neighbour from Blechner Dr) is saddened by the loss and wishes to express her condolences to the family and to stay strong. - Posted by: Helen & Glenn Bracken (neighbours, friends, co worker's) on: Oct 26, 2013
