Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • Childhood memories carry me back to a summer family meeting in Aunt Frieda's back yard, with giggling Diane, elusive Eric, little Barb, and a whole lot of popcorn. When we met again 2012, after decades, decades that certainly had left their mark, what did I see? Well - not the old giggle - but Diane's wonderful, friendly smile. Thank you, Diane. • Barb our hearts and love go out to you right now - to you, your brother, the kids, and Harv who is your rock. Praying that you will sense our Lord's arms around you. - Posted by: Ted & Peggy Bendell (share grand children together :)) on: Nov 02, 2013

  • Dear Neufeld Family, My condolences on the loss of your sister and aunt. May cherished memories of Diane bring you comfort at this difficult time. I can’t help but smile when I think of her calm demeanor and fantastic sense of humour. She was a truly lovely person. • My deepest sorrows. - Posted by: Eric Neufeld (cousin) on: Oct 25, 2013

  • Diane's mother, Frieda, & my husband being cousins, we enjoyed many family gatherings together before we moved out East. As well, Diane & I were part of a foursome of family women who went to Las Vegas in the early 80s, the memories of which I still treasure. We will miss her & the humour in her Christmas letters. • I taught with Diane at Radisson School. I enjoyed her dry sense of humour. She always had a really positive outlook. Diane seemed shy and quiet, but I appreciated her willingness to travel and try new things. My friend, Karen Craven (now deceased) really loved her Scrabble games with Diane. She told me that I wouldn't fit in with their games, because she and Diane were totally non-competitive, playing for the sheer fun of it and never taking time to look for a longer or higher-scoring word. She had a high regard for Diane and valued their friendship. - Posted by: Linda Rodgers (colleague) on: Oct 24, 2013
