Our sincere sympathy to John & Lynda & Rob and Laura and their girls. Aunt Wilma was truly a wonderful lady. She always remembered birthdays & anniversaries and she had a genuine goodness about her. Anytime we travelled through Winnipeg, she had us as guests in her home. Her hospitality was outstanding. We will miss her. Some of my favourite memories of Wilma are from the St. Andrew's Pipe Band trip to Scotland in 1992. We shared a room at the Ben Nevis Youth Hostel, a real experience, and she introduced me to cucumber sandwiches. Since that time, she has been a constant supporter of the LSBPB, attending the concerts and performances whenever she was able. Always had a kind word for Lee, another of her 'band boys'. She will be missed. Condolences to John & Lynda, Rob and Laura and the grandkids. - Posted by: Karen Bowman (friend) on: Oct 29, 2013

I was blessed to have Wilma as my next door neighbour for 30 years on Baffin. She has been a friend, grandmother, and a mentor to me my entire life. I was so blessed to be able to see her hold my baby girl and fall in love with her too. I will miss Wilma terribly, but am so grateful that she is home with her Lord and back with Andy, her soul mate. - Posted by: Amanda (Neighbour/surrogate granddaughter) on: Oct 28, 2013

I was very fortunate to be one of her 'band sons'...as many others in the Lord Selkirk pipe band. I will treasure my memories of a truly special woman and extend my deepest condolences to the family. - Posted by: Cam Ballantyne ('band son') on: Oct 27, 2013
