Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCOISE MORIER (nee GARY) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Foyer Valade at the age of 98. Françoise leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Gisèle (Roger LaRivière) and Lorraine (late Ken Daniel), her three grandchildren Nicole LaRivière (Michel Nicolas), Michel LaRivière (Chantale) and Marc Daniel. She was especially proud of her four great-grandchildren Chloé and Alex Nicolas and Tristan and Alexie LaRivière. She was predeceased by her daughter Lucille and by her beloved husband of 45 years, Denis. Françoise was born March 7, 1915 to Dora Barsalou and Albert Gary. Orphaned at birth, along with her other siblings, her mom and dad became Albanie (Barsalou) and Noé Rodrigue. She was always very grateful for their loving care. She was the last survivor of the 12 children. She was predeceased by her brothers Leonard, Noël, Gérard, Paul and Albert and her sisters, Marguerite Marie, Anita, Jeanne, Yolande, Madeleine and Jacqueline. Mom was a great cook. She enjoyed walking, gardening, singing and playing bridge. She was a loving mom who always placed her family first. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the St. Boniface Cathedral. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association, Suite 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. We are currently on holidays since the 23rd and we just heard of Françoise's passing. We want to convey our condolences to Gisele and Roger and Lorraine and to all her grandchildren and extended family. Françoise was a special person. She cared deeply for her family and always mentioned them when I met her. She was always concerned with eating healthy and she literally "walked the talk" as she would go for walks for miles at a time. It's no wonder she lived so long. She also cared very much for those who had little, feeling much compassion for those who had nothing to eat and little with which to clothe themselves. She mentioned this often. We will miss Françoise but recognize that she is in a better place with God and those that she loved who pre-deceased her. We are fortunate to have known her and feel that our lives are better because of her influence. Nous prions pour la famille a Françoise. - Posted by: Gilbert and Lorraine Cloutier (friends) on: Nov 07, 2013
