DONALDA ANN GIBB Donalda Ann Gibb, known to many as Brooksie passed away peacefully at the Carman Memorial Hospital with family by her side. Born to Harold and Myrtle Ullyot on April 24, 1924, she spent most of her life in the Carman area. She was educated in Carman school and received her nurses training at Carman General Hospital. She graduated with her registered nursing diploma in 1946. She nursed at the Carman Hospital and also "specialed" many ill patients. She assisted with many births and helped those in need. She married Matthew Gibb in 1948. They lived in the Carman, Jordan and Roland area. She spent much of her free time gardening, knitting and doing other crafts. Many were recipients of her handiwork. She was also a historian and had a wealth of knowledge about family as well as people from the area. Her wisdom will be greatly missed. She was predeceased by her husband Matt, her parents, brothers Reg (Pudge) and Glen (Henny), sisters-in-law Esther and Luella and brother and sisters-in-law James (Lavina), Bessie (Stan), Peggy (Lawrence) and Belle. She is survived by her brother George, sister-in-law Ruth and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and at the deceased's request a private interment has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Carman Palliative Care, Box 610, Carman, MB, R0G 0J0 or to a charity of one's choice. Doyle's Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
