GIL GOODMAN It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gil Goodman on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 78 years. A memorial service to honour Gil, followed by a reception, will be held on Friday, November 15 at 2:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, across from Brookside Cemetery. I got to know Gill through his nephew Gary Honey. It was always a pleasure to sit down for lunch with him and chat and laugh a lot about everything under the sun. When we were children, my parents and I lived with my grandmother and Aunt Thura - a result of the depression. Gil and his family came to our house every Sunday (at least to a child it seemed like every Sunday). I remember him as always personable, as a kind and generous man and a great host on my visits to Winnipeg.
