WILMA JANE FULTON
Born: Jul 07, 1933
Date of Passing: Oct 25, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILMA JANE FULTON Peacefully on October 25, 2013 at Grace Hospital. Wilma was born in Winnipeg on July 7, 1933 to William and Elizabeth. She met Andy on a blind date in 1950 and they married two years later. Mom worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses as well as volunteering her skills at the Kidney Foundation. She was a long serving envelope secretary for St. James Anglican Church where she worshiped for many decades. Mom proudly supported her sons in the Lord Selkirk, St. Andrew's and Winnipeg Police Pipe Bands. Predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Andy, and her sister Doreen, she is survived by sons John (Lynda) and Rob (Laura); granddaughters Amanda, Samantha and Laryssa; as well as many life long and new friends. The wonderful people of Sinawik Bay embraced mom over the past year and became like family to her. Her family extends a heartfelt thank you to the caregivers from Home Care, Grace Hospital Emergency and 3rd floor South. We are truly indebted to Dr. W. C. Schellenberg for his thoughtful and genuine concern for both mom and dad. St. James Anglican Church, 195 Collegiate St., will host a celebration of Wilma's life on November 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated. We are so sad to hear about Wilma's passing. For many years, our family enjoyed visiting with Wilma and Andy (and family) at St. James Anglican church. My mother holds especially fond memories of having the Fultons and Wheatons over during the holidays when we were children (and curiously always on the heels of Santa's arrival). Our deepest condolences to the family. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Eva, Tracey, Terri and Jackie Evans - Posted by: Tracey Evans () on: Nov 26, 2013

I remember Mr. and Mrs. Fulton as the neighbors who baked us that great chocolate - date cake when our Mom was in the hospital,(more than once), and hosted my sister's and my bridal showers, some forty years ago. Through the years we kept in touch, and we miss you both. - Posted by: Linda McKinnon (Campbell) (Madison street neighbour) on: Nov 02, 2013

Rob - we were so sorry to learn of your Mother's passing. The last time I saw her, she came to my baby shower with Alisha. She was always such a friendly lady and she was so sweet with my daughter Sophie. Losing a mother is like no other loss. We are sending the family our deepest condolences for the loss of their mom, and grandmother, mamma! Michael and Wilma shared a special bond from when he was young, they cherished and respected that secret forever. I was so fortunate to get to know Wilma as her hairdresser but most importantly as her friend. Her smile and warm welcome always brightened up the room. Wilma will always remain in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. Love always, Michael and Alisha - Posted by: Michael and Alisha Miguez (brother and sister in law of Rob and Laura Fulton) on: Nov 01, 2013

We are saddened to learn of Wilma's passing. We are presently out of the country and regret we will not be able to join in the celebration of Wilma's life on the 3rd. Wilma was such a kind friend and along with Andy she was a fixture at St. James Anglican. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Jae & Rhoda Eadie (friends) on: Nov 01, 2013

Growing up around the Fulton family holds a great deal of fond memories. Wilma was like a second mother to me in those early years. I will always remember her smile, laugh and loving attitude to all those around her. She will be missed. P.S. My favorite memory involves dropping her son off at home one night somewhat intoxicated which was followed by a chance meeting between him and the kitchen fridge! You know what I mean Rob!
