DOROTHY SLEZAK (nee LAUDRUM) Peacefully on October 29, 2013, Dorothy passed away at West Park Manor. Dorothy was born September 8, 1925 in Oberon, Manitoba. She worked at Picardy's in her earlier years and then the Manitoba Government (Family Services) up until she retired. Some of Dorothy's interests were shopping at Eaton's and The Bay. She always had the nicest clothes and looked very prim and proper. When she lived in her house she had the most beautiful garden on Simcoe Street. One thing everyone will remember about Dorothy is her lovely smile. She was predeceased by her parents Reginald and Edith Laudrum, her brothers Ernie and George and infant sister Flossy, as well as her ex-husband Steve Slezak. She is survived by Steve's daughter Laurie. Thanks to Rachel for doing her hair and Mary Rose for visiting with her on a weekly basis. Her longtime friends Carl and Sherry would like to thank all the staff at West Park Manor for all the loving care they gave Dorothy while residing there. Cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Donations can be made in Dorothy's memory to The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg MB R3C 4G2. "Aunty Dorothy" such a kind, gentle soul and was also a wonderful sister-in-law to our Aunt Muriel. I always enjoyed talking with Aunty Dorothy, she was so interested in us "kids" . Yes, her beautiful smile, her soft comforting voice and her generosity will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace Aunty Dorothy❤ ❤ ❤ - Posted by: Lucille, Lisa and Brad Hutchinson (Nieces and Nephew (to Uncle George Laudrum) ) on: Nov 02, 2013
