I am so truly sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I spent every second weekend at their house, or their cottage in Gimli, from the time I was seven years old. Brian and I have been best friends since grade 1, and Bill and Carol were like my second family. I considered Bob and David as my other brothers. My sincere condolences to all of the Aitken family. you know my heart is with you even though I can't be. I love you all. Your friend ... I do believe that Auntie Carol and Uncle Bill are very happy now that they are together again. So, the sadness of losing Uncle Bill comes with some comfort that he is now with his beloved wife. I have many memories of great family time spent with Uncle Bill, Auntie Carol, Bob, David and Brian, especially at the cottage in Gimli. Thank you, Uncle Bill, for buying the cottage in the first place and for hosting and welcoming the Mutala family time after time. My time spent at the Aitken cottage in Gimli has provided me with some of my fondest memories of growing up in Manitoba. I am sorry that I was not able to attend the funeral today. But, my thoughts are with my cousins, Bob, David and Brian and their families. - Posted by: Cathie Mutala (Niece) on: Nov 04, 2013

All Bill wanted since Carol's passing, was to go home. That's where he is now with Carol and other loved ones at his side. He was a devoted husband to Carol, his boys, and his friends. God Bless. - Posted by: Marlene Ethier (Close Friend of Carol's) on: Nov 02, 2013
