HELEN TOEWS (DYCK) September 19, 1916 - November 3, 2013 It is with great sadness we announce our mother passed away peacefully on November 3, 2013. Helen was predeceased by her loving husband, Henry, of 62 years in 1997 and son in-law Frank Wolfe. Left to cherish her memory are her four children: Art (Lynda) of Saskatoon, Pat (Wolfe) (Ike) Driedger of Steinbach, Richard (Kathy) of North Carolina, and Rosella (Marv) Aylward of Winnipeg; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is survived by two sisters-in-law. Helen was born to Helena (Peters) and Isaac I. Dyck in Burwalde, Manitoba; she grew up around the Winkler area. Helen was predeceased by her parents and all her siblings: Tena (Katharina), Isaac, Herman, Maria (Mary), Martha, Frank, Arthur, Diedrich, Elvin and Clarence. Helen was a kind and loving person who enjoyed her family and friends. She spent time reading, listening to music, doing crafts and joining the various activities at Meadowood Towers. Helen will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Rest in Peace Mom. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Ladgimodiere Boulevard, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Viewing will be held at 1:00 p.m. prior to service.
