Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAROLD (HARRY) OMENIUK Suddenly on November 6, 2013, Harold Omeniuk, at the age of 71. He will be sadly missed by loving Wife Donna, children Dean (Cathy), Darcie (Greg); grandchildren Caitlin, Derrick, Clinton, Krystal and Kerra. Harry was predeceased by his parents Michael and Julia Omeniuk, sister Violet, brothers-in-law Joe Sokoloski, Joe Hnatiuk, Joe Sutton and Paul Tutkaluk. He leaves to mourn sisters and brothers Joyce Sokoloski, James (Florence), Betty (Don) Gnutel, Kenneth (Ellen), Janice Sutton, Dolores Tutkaluk and Robert (Elizabeth), numerous nieces and nephews and special friends. Born in 1941 in Birds Hill, Manitoba, he worked on the family farm til the age of 18 after which he and his brothers owned and operated their own business in Grand Rapids, Manitoba during which time Donna and Harry were married (1965). In 1972 Donna and Harry moved back to Birds Hill. From 1972 til 2000 he operated "H. Omeniuk Trucking", then in 2000 he joined his son in business selling trucks and heavy equipment. Harry and Donna spent several winters in Texas in recent years where they enjoyed warmth and many friends. Harry was a hard working man who enjoyed others, loved and admired his children and grandchildren, always enjoyed a good joke and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Harry expressed his wishes as "visitation and viewing has been taking place since 1941..." and per his request a private service will be held. In lieu of flowers please make contributions in Harry's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, London Health Sciences Foundation Transplant Program, CancerCare Manitoba or the charity of your choice. www.seasonsfunerals.ca

Harry was a real gentleman and a wonderful example of a caring family man and successful businessman who knew how to get things done while always looking out for his family and neighbours.
