HELEN HOEL Peacefully on November 13, 2013, our dear mother, grandmother and aunt, Helen, passed away. She leaves to miss her always, her daughter Marlene and son-in-law David Wilson of Edmonton; son Brian and daughter-in-law Georganne of Winnipeg; grandchildren Carolyn (Greg) Pada of Calgary; Reid (Amber) of Lasqueti, BC; James (Rhonda) of Mitchell, MB; and David of Winnipeg. She had 10 great-grandchildren to delight her. She was a much loved aunt of many nieces and nephews. Her niece Beverly Garrity, along with husband Jim and daughter Catherine, helped Helen to lead an independent and fun filled life to the end. She went to her last Bingo game days before her final brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband Marten, infant daughter Karoline, and all of her siblings. Helen was a kind, caring person with a great sense of humour. She loved to cook and bake, get together for cards and games, family gatherings, and was an active member of the Parkside Social Club. Many friends will miss her company. We will celebrate her life on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at Parkside Plaza, 1630 Henderson Highway, Room 103. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Winnipeg Harvest Inc., 1085 Winnipeg Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0S2 (Mom loved to feed people) or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Arrangements by BIRCHWOOD FUNERAL CHAPEL 1-204-346-1030 OR 1-888-454-1030
