PETER GIUGOVAZ Peter was born in Italy (now Croatia) on February 23, 1937. He passed away peacefully at home on November 15, 2013 with his wife by his side. He is predeceased by his parents Sarafino and Adele Giugovaz. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia and her children, Jackie and Geoff. Grandchildren, Calvin and Justin, as well as his beloved pets "Rusty, George and Hank". He also leaves to mourn his sister Maria Saule (from Italy), Lucia Panger (from BC), Albina (Silvo) Zadkovic (from Chicago), as well as nieces and nephews. Missing him deeply will be his cousins Dino and Orysin Burolo (who were always there). Peter had a great talent for his beautiful wood working, not to mention his magnificent vegetable gardening (grape vines), and he always babied his favourite flower, the calla lily. We wish to thank Dr. Pat Harris and the oncology staff at the Concordia Hospital as well as Palliative Care nurse Liz, all attending nurses and home care aids Christina and Ken for all their help, kindness and compassionate care for Peter. Special thanks to Father Sam Arganziano for his kindness and service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Room ON1160, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3E 0V9.
