GARRY MITCHELL FRANK MAZURKEWICH January 3, 1961 - November 17, 2013 It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Garry Mitchell Frank Mazurkewich on November 17, 2013. He was predeceased by his father Martin Mazurkewich. He will be lovingly missed by his wife Barbara Funk of 28 years, his three sons - Stephen (Jessica), Michael, Taras, his mother Martha (nee Gnutel), sisters Shirley (Dave) Walton, and Gaylene, sister-in-law Susan and many relatives and friends. Garry was a man of many talents. He held a second class power engineer ticket and a Journeyman Red Seal Certification. He loved to know the workings of engines and could basically rebuild anything. As a child and adult, he spent many hours building and enjoying model trains. He had a knack for creating interesting things. He loved to fish at Dorothy Lake and was also a great cook. His favourite dishes to cook were in the summer using fresh dill and cream. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba, 1031 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3G 0R8. Garry, we bestow upon you peace and harmony and know that you are in the arms of angels. We all love you so much. Cropo Funeral Chapel, 204-586-8044

  • In deep sadness we're so sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Garry! Been reminiscing of his summer visits to the farm when we were kids. Beautiful memories we have as children. He used to like to tease me with my kittens by pretending to put them under the water hydrant, by the trough for the cows, and I would squeal saying DON'T DON'T and he would laugh! What a little character! Always friendly, a wonderful person! Rest in Peace Garry we will miss you!Deepest sympathies to Barb and the boys and Auntie Martha, Shirley, and Gaylene. Our thoughts and prayers and all our love are with you all. We cannot attend but I'll be there in spirit and my heart will be there. Love you all and God bless you through this difficult time and always! MY HEART GOES OUT TO ALL OF YOU. Love always, Cathy(Mazurkewich) and Fred Oliver - Posted by: cathy oliver (first cousin) on: Nov 20, 2013
