WILLIAM (BILL) KOZAK It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Kozak, of Prawda, MB, at the Steinbach Hospital on Monday, November 18, 2013, at the age of 76. Bill leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years, Shirley, son Kyle (Christina), grandchildren Rese and Adrea, brothers Mike (Shirley), Leo (Marlene), and Ed (Pat), and mother-in-law Denise Krawetz, as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his parents Steve and Ann Kozak, father-in-law Mike Krawetz, niece Kimberly Revet, and best friend Bill Luch. When Bill and Shirley were married in 1970 they lived in Hadashville. In 1972 they moved their house to the family farm in Medika where they made it a home, and had their son Kyle. Bill was a school bus driver and mechanic all his life. He knew every fishing hole along the river behind the farm. In 2001 they moved to Prawda, where they made a new home, enjoying the beauty of nature, watching the deer and birds they loved to feed. Bill was a devoted, kind, caring and understanding husband, father and grandfather. Bill was a man that didn't ever have much to say, but when he did you knew it meant something. He had many simple joys in life: hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and spending time with his close friends and family. None of these came close to the fulfillment he got from spending his last years with his grandson Rese and granddaughter Adrea. They truly kept him fighting to hang on. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Reynolds Community Club in Prawda, MB. A private interment will take place at a later date. Honorary Pallbearers will be Maurice Dubowski, Don Revet, Gladwin Doerksen, Ken Neyedly, Stan Barta and Gary Bargenda. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Steinbach Hospital for all their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation, Manitoba Chapter, 350 St. Mary Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J2.
