A gentle giant describes David very well. He was often in the school library, doing homework. It was clear that he took pride in his education. As we got to know David better, hints of his sense of humour came through. Our laughter would put a big smile on his face. May memories of David comfort you. - Posted by: Dorothy McGinnis (Library Technician at MBCI) on: Nov 22, 2013

From the very first time I met David Torok in Cadets, I always felt so comfortable around his presence. An inviting, influential and inspirational leader to everyone around him. He led by example and always found ways to better himself at whatever he did. Wise in all of his words, he would grab the attention of anyone around him. The ways in which he taught was demonstrated by the utmost professionalism. I remember saying to him that once I do take over the squadron, he'd better come back for my final parade. And I am certain that he would, as he was a man of his word. A gentle, fun, loving and someone of great potential. An unfortunate and sad loss. My deepest and sincerest condolences to David's loving family. May your soul rest in eternal peace David. - Posted by: Ranishka Jayakody and Family (Friend and Subordinate of David Torok in Cadets) on: Nov 22, 2013

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of David. David and I have never met, but he knew I was friends with his mother and we occasionally saw each other and said "hi" at work and when I stopped by their house whenever Barb gave me a haircut. I cannot believe something like this would happen to Barb. She is a sweet lady and she treats everyone at work like her own family. To David and his family, my deepest condolences and my thoughts and prayers are with you all in this difficult time. R.I.P.
