HELEN ROGERS It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, Helen Rogers, on November 18, 2013 at the age of 81. Helen is survived by her loving family; son Randy, daughters Fern (Grant), Debbie (John), Lisa (Ray) and Barbra; grandchildren Vaughn, Tristan, Trevor, Kyle and Brodie, great-grandchild Levi. Helen was predeceased by her husband Earle (2004) as well as by her parents Russell and Hester Slater, her sister Ethel and brother Jack. She will be deeply missed by her sisters Fern, Iris, Val and Shelagh (Doug). Our mother was born and raised in Winnipeg and after schooling married her husband Earle in 1955. Mom's favourite past time was watching all her sports. She was a kind and gentle person and loved her family above all else. She will be sadly missed. Special thanks to all mom's home care workers and Dr. Arthur Blank. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service and interment will be held at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Ave. on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715

So sorry to hear about your mom ...I didn't know her well, but what did know and saw was a very gentle soft spoken lady, who seemed to work real hard & who loved her children very much & a mom who would go out of her way to ask each child what would you like me to make YOU for lunch, as everyone seemed to want different things to eat, that's what I would surely call a devoted & caring mom ....She for sure loved All her kids very much..hope she is now in peace & God rest her soul!!
