ROBERT SVEINSON It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert Sveinson on November 15, 2013, at the Victoria General Hospital, at the age of 75 years of age. Robert will be sadly missed by his wife of 53 years, Marguerite, son Rob (Sandy), brother Elroy (Carolyn), numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and friends. Robert was predeceased by his parents Brynjolfur and Fjola, and his son Jody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3T 0R3. We are saddened to hear of Robert's passing. We have many fond memories of the comradeship Robert shared so unselfishly years ago when we raced together as well as against each other. Had a shock when I received an email from Gimli saying that Robert had died. I haven't seen either of you for a long time but I'm in Gimli once a year and had not heard anything was wrong. We were truly saddened to learn of Robert's passing. We enjoyed so many good times together when Robbie & Ian played hockey and those memories will never be forgotten.
