To Bob Jones and family: I worked with Carol many years ago in the adult hematology/medical oncology and paediatric oncology clinics of what was then The Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation. Carol, quite simply, had a heart of gold and was a pure joy to be around. She always greeted the patients with a smile, and brought a compassion and empathy to every encounter. (Not to mention the beautiful ceramics she made that decorated the reception desk every Easter and Christmas). I will miss her. Please accept my deepest condolences. - Posted by: Michelle Powder (Former colleague) on: Nov 24, 2013

Mom, I am grateful for your wisdom. You truly were the glue that held the family together. I am grateful for the gift of your heart. You have taught me that it is important to live in peace with those who cannot. This is what I strive for. Thank you for teaching me also that it is ok not to be perfect at this. I am grateful for your humor. My glass is always half full because of you. :) I am grateful for your patience...You have taught me to never give up on my dreams. My heart is full with memories of the deep friendship that we have shared and the many hours we were able to talk about absolutely everything. I am grateful that we were always able to have that level of honesty and respect for each other (at least in my adult years). I hold dear to my heart, the memory of you and I finding our wolf together ... a way to stay connected always. And I thank you for remembering me in your last days... I will always remember you. Safe Journey...I love you with all my heart. - Posted by: Leia Gamache (Daughter) on: Nov 23, 2013
