Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERTA LOUISE SINCLAIR (nee PROCTOR) July 14, 1917 !November 18, 2013 It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Alberta Sinclair on Monday, November 18, 2013 at Rosewood Lodge in Stonewall, Manitoba. She is survived by her partner Sonny Jeffery, daughter-in-law Clara (Craig), grandchildren Darlene, Lorene, Wesley, Beryl, Theron, Shannon, Farron and Joy, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. She is predeceased by her parents Albert and Dorothy Proctor (Good), husband George, sons Garnet and Clarence, daughter-in-law Ruth (Toews) and siblings Margret, Vern, Bud, Dean, Ray and John. Alberta was born on July 14, 1917 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She grew up in Woodlands, Manitoba where she lived for the majority of her life. Known as "Berta" to her friends, she was an active member of the community. She volunteered her time as a 4H leader, enjoyed curling and spending time with family. Her real passion was for horses and local history. She attended many horse shows where she often competed in the driving events. She contributed to several local history books. In later years, when her health took her away from farming, she moved to the seniors lodge in Woodlands and then to Rosewood Lodge in Stonewall, Manitoba. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Woodlands Community Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rosewood Lodge.
