ANNE WATKO Peacefully, with her family by her side, at the Selkirk Betel Home, Anne Watko, born January 12, 1920, in Libau, MB formerly of East Selkirk, MB, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2013. Anne was predeceased by her first husband, Peter Waytiuk, infant son, Patrick and son Russel. Anne is survived by her husband of 53 years, Victor; Mom will be missed by her children Kenneth (Donna) Waytiuk, Peggy (Dennis) Craplewe and Denise (Derek) Webber; Nana will be remembered by her nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mom loved gardening, crocheting and cooking, with nobody leaving her table hungry. Mom and Dad loved to travel whether it was near or far and she thoroughly enjoyed their winters in New Mexico. Mom was very much a people person and always made time for family and friends. A heartfelt thank you is extended to the kind and compassionate staff at Betel Home for taking such good care of our Mom and Nana. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 29, at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB, with Rev. Deborah Vitt officiating. Viewing prior to the service and private family interment will follow the luncheon at Brookside Cemetery, in Walkleyburg, MB.
