Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDENIS JOSEPH FLORENT NAZAIRE DAMPHOUSSE 1929 - 2013 Surrounded by his wife and family, Denis passed away November 26, 2013 at Villa Youville in Sainte-Anne. He leaves to mourn his wife Yvette (Moquin); his children and grandchildren: Louise (Martin) Nolette, Danica and Mathieu; Diane Lamoureux, Bryanne and Katherine; Joanne (Berne) Dupuis, Janelle, Jacynth and Janique; Gilles (Colette); Raymond (Kellie) and Romie; and Daniel (Chelsea). He also leaves behind his brothers and sisters: Marguerite (Dollard) Mailhot, Henri, Marie-Thérèse (Alcide) Lévesque, Aline Durand, Marie Labossière, Simone, snjm, Noëlla Barnabé, Cécile, Irène Régnier (Denis Gobin), Madeleine Dionne and Gérard (Monique); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Léonie Damphousse, Lucille (Armand) Gagnon, Thérèse (Maurice) Bouchard, Marcel (Rita) Moquin et Roger (Claudette) Moquin as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Clémentine (Dionne), his brother Jean as well as numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Devoted family man, Denis proudly farmed with his brothers for many years. Dedicated farmer, he never hesitated to lend a helping hand to others in Letellier as well as in his second community of Ile-des-Chênes. Dad took pride in taking meticulous care of his yard and enjoyed doing the same for others: cutting grass, trimming trees, tilling and snowblowing. Dad loved being outdoors; whether it was snowmobiling, curling, biking, walking, camping with his family or playing baseball, regardless of the season. Dad's dedication to his family never wavered throughout the progression of his dementia. Heartfelt gratitude to the staff and volunteers at Villa Youville who provided exceptional care to Dad, as well as special thanks to Dr. Duval. Ma, your unconditional love, devotion, patience, kindness, and unselfishness assured Pa an unsurpassed quality of life; for that we are truly grateful. The funeral mass, presided by his nephew Mgr. Marcel Damphousse, will take place Saturday, November 30 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sainte-Anne Church. The mass will be preceded by a eulogy at 1:45 p.m. Interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. You may be gone, but will never be forgotten. So sorry Yvette, your dedication to Denis was remarkable. Hugs to all the family, the loss of a parent is life changing. We have to take comfort in knowing that their earthly body is no longer causing them pain.
