  • Dear Mary, We just recieved word regarding the passing of our dear friend Gerry and we are saddened to hear of his passing and your loss. Gerry was a great friend and neighbour when we lived in East St. Paul and he will be sadly missed by all the people he touched and those us us who had the pleasure to know him and call him friend. I fondly remember the first time I met Gerry when he was so kind as to pull my lawn tractor out from a leaking septic field on Rebeck Road and we immediately made a special connection and bond that doesn't come along very often. Mr. Streu or Studdle as he was fondly refered to, was a man of many interesting stories and a great friend of the family. Chris and Carly to this day still remember the wartime stories he told them from the old country and always enjoyed his company. Jerry was a man of honor, well respected, hard working and someone you could always count on. We had many treasured moments at our acreage on Rebeck, the Streu Resort and fishing hole and our fishing and hunting expeditions. Gerry was always the life of the party and lived life to the fullest. I fondly remember Jerry having the energy of a teenager and he had a spice for life seldom seen by seniors his age. Mary, you and Jerry were always the best hosts when we visited and our family always felt like your family when we entered the Struddle Household and I still remember Gerry telling me that "You were not allowed to bring stuff" He was a good friend, a mentor and a fine man and we will miss him dearly and we know that God will bless and keep him in the same manner that he blessed us all. "Rest peacefully my friend", you are in good hands. The Ciecko Family - Posted by: Randy and Barb Ciecko and Family (Friends/Neighbours) on: Dec 02, 2013
