MARTHA LOUISE ATKINSON It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Martha Louise Atkinson on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Seven Oaks Hospital, at the age 84 years. Left to greatly miss Martha is her devoted husband of 62 years, Earl Atkinson. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Tom, John, Lori and Janice (Kip); son-in-law Brian Kipling; grandchildren Jacqueline, Katie, Christine, Dale, Curtis, Chad, Jessica and Jenna; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and long term friends. She was predeceased by her mother Celestine; father Peder; stepfather Theodor; sister Margret; brother George; loving daughter Theresa, and cherished son Anthony. Martha worked many years at Sears and made many friends along the way. She belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of the #4 Legion. Her happiest times were spent in St. Rita or camping with her family where memories were made that can never be forgotten or replaced. Martha's journey here with us is over, but won't ever be forgotten by those she left behind. She is now with the others that went before her to become an angel, and watch over us as she always did when she was here with us. On Friday, December 6, 2013 Martha's Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Palliative Care and Seven Oaks Hospital for their loving and kind care along the way. Place them in our mother's arms and tell her they're from us. Tell her we love her and we miss her, and when she turns to smile, Place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile.

Dear Uncle Earl and family, our heartfelt sympathy to the whole family, our thoughts with you always. I have many childhood memories of our family times together and even though over the years we haven't seen each other much I will cherish all the lovely memories I have of this very special lady. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this difficult time. I have very fond memories of the times spent at St Rita camping and will never forget them. Christmas was a very special time with the family, which I felt very much a part of. - Posted by: DARBY LOGAN (FAMILY FRIEND) on: Dec 04, 2013

I worked with Martha at Hallmark Polo Park for several years. Martha always lit up when she talked about her family and especially her grandchildren. I have a recipe that I make every Christmas that Martha shared with me many years ago, I think of her every time I take it out as it is in her handwriting. My family looks forward to the "Cuban Lunch" treat each year. I am thinking of your family and wishing you comfort at this difficult time. - Posted by: Barb Shapiro (former co worker/ I now live in Calgary) on: Dec 03, 2013
