My Family will miss you dearly Gordon as you had become our good friend over the last 7 years. We loved your sense of humor and kindness to our family. I wish your brother, Big Al and all of the other family and friends that you left behind our deepest sympathies on the loss of a good man. - Posted by: jeff neill (friend/neighbour) on: Dec 04, 2013

Dear Johnny and Eddie, Always had a great time when Gordie came over, his stories made us laugh and will continue. He will not be forgotten. Will always remember Gordie in his convertible and fringed suede coat (Gordie Jacket - is what we called it). Rest in Peace Gordie Chad, Candice, Shelly and Tony Bargenda - Posted by: Bargenda Children (Freind) on: Dec 04, 2013

Growing up, us Barta kids, on many nights would fall asleep hearing Gordie's boisterous voice coming from the kitchen. He was there, fixing the world’s problems with my Dad over the odd whiskey ...well... quite a few whiskeys, actually! I am proud to say I got to know him better, later in life, cutting his hair and enjoying many chit chats over beers at Chunk’s. He was a good soul and you knew with Gordie, you would always be entertained. He will be sorely missed! God Bless you Gordie. My deepest sympathies to you, Johnny and Eddie. - Posted by: Blaire Barta (friend) on: Dec 04, 2013
