THEODORE ROBERT ZAIK May 4, 1945 - December 7, 2013 It's with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Theodore Robert Zaik, also known as Ted or Teddy, who left us peacefully at the Gimli Community Health Centre on December 7, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Doris, his daughters Rowena, Julie, Rachel, and Michelle; his son Craig; and grandchildren Markus, Natasha, Makayla, Jaden, Cale and Isabella. Also left to remember him are his brothers, Joe and wife Audrey, and Allan and wife Kim, as well as his many nephews and nieces whom he loved very deeply and his many dear friends that called him family. Ted was predeceased by his mother Mary and his father Samuel, his beloved brother Sam, his little sisters Darlene and Diane, and also his nephew Rodney and niece Tracy. He was actively involved with his brothers in the Gimli Viking Lodge. Ted was a man that every moment counted, with the time he spent with his friends and family or the hobbies that he enjoyed. You could always count on him to put others before himself. He has touched many lives and we will all miss his courageous smile, his laughter and his wonderful sense of humour. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Gimli, MB on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. A lunch to follow at the Lakeview Resort in Gimli, MB. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at the HSC and at the Gimli Hospital for your exceptional care and support. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
