Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBOHDAN BORIS BOHONOS With his children at his side on December 15, 2013 at Oakview Place Bohdan Boris Bohonos peacefully passed away at the age of 81 years. Bohdan was born on May 13, 1932 in Plum Coulee, MB later moving to Riverton and eventually to Gimli, MB where he had spent his formative years. Bohdan (Bob) was the middle of three boys, Walter, Bohdan and Peter. Bob worked for and when the time came retired with the Provincial Government. Bob was predeceased by his parents Roman and Anastasia Bohonos, and his loving wife Evelyn Joyce Bohonos. Bob is survived by his three children Ken, David Bohonos and Jennifer Driedger as well as one grandchild Corey Driedger, his two brothers and their wives Walter (Adeline) and Peter (Pat) as well as the numerous nieces and nephews that he had come to know over the course of their lives. On September 28, 1962 Bob married Evelyn Joyce McCharles, the two spent many happy years together in their home at 137 Sunnyside in Woodhaven where they raised their three children. Those that knew Bob will know that he was always keeping himself busy around the home yard and even took the time himself to entertain his hobbies of gardening maintaining his stamp collection and playing in his bowling league. Bob was a very loving man whom assumed responsibility for his family in good and bad times, when they could not, such as his mother when she became ill, and finally his wife Evelyn who suffered with cancer in her final days. Bob will be missed by all and the day of his passing will stay in the minds and hearts of all who loved him. Farewell to a man whom all should strive to be like as our world was a better place when he was in it. Memorial service will be held on Monday, December 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. Bob came into our store all the time. I loved hearing about his family history, he loved to work on it. His wish was that someone would take it over when he was gone. He made me laugh, he laughed at me. Bob was a man of few worlds but when he had something to say look out!!
