Pat and family, we're so sorry for your loss at this time. We will keep with us the faith that your dad was so well loved and thought of by his family and friends. Although we've never met him we feel we know him well from all the stories you have shared. Our thoughts are with you all. - Posted by: Shirley & Gord Bray-Mak (Friend of Family member Pat) on: Dec 23, 2013

I knew Mike very well from the St. James Art Club. I enjoyed so many years of his friendship and always looked forward to seeing him at the Club. I was so sad that he ended up in the hospital, I missed him so very much and talked about him so often. He was a fantastic person and brought me so much joy and laughter! I will miss him even more now, but he is at peace. - Posted by: Dennis & Diane Bell (friends from Art Club) on: Dec 23, 2013

Rest in peace Uncle Mike! You were a great painter & many of us kept the beautiful Christmas cards you sent us over the years. I also appreciate the book you wrote. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Love, Cheryl - Posted by: Cheryl Goodie (Niece) on: Dec 23, 2013

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers Aunty Vera, Jan & Keith, Pat, and Stuart & Louise. The world has lost a great man. We are so glad that Uncle Mike was able to get his book published. His paintings hold a special place in our cottage. These are all a tribute to the special person he was. It was always a special time when we would see him walking at the beach and joined him on his travels and listened to his tales. He will always be in our hearts. - Posted by: Louise Dahle and Harold Homuth (Niece and nephew) on: Dec 22, 2013

You will be greatly missed Uncle Mike. I'll always remember making the fort in the back yard of your cabin. I'm so proud of your book "Letters to Leah" that you had published and I'm amazed at what you did for our country at such young age. You are truly a hero in my eyes. - Posted by: Eric Dahle (and Family) (Great Nephew) on: Dec 21, 2013
