KENNETH MEAD After a courageous and heartbreaking battle with dementia, it is with deep sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Kenneth Mead on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the age of 74 years. Ken will be welcomed into heaven by his parents, Alvina and Irvine Mead, and his dear wife Lila who predeceased him. May you now have peace and freedom from the terrible disease you suffered with. Ken and Lila had an avid love for travelling the world. He enjoyed the great outdoors and his lake adventures, embracing it all and holding those memories close to his heart. Ken was a man with meticulous habits from fixing and remodeling cars and houses to his gentle, kind heart towards the animals he loved over the years. To his dear family and close friends he leaves cherished and valued memories. Ken leaves to mourn his loss: his brothers Ernest, Dennis (Lorraine), Jim (Barb), sisters: Irene Nichols (Reg), Ruth Lussier (late Leo), sisters-in-law: Pearl Richards (John), Rose Hill (Ray), and Diane Woltmann. Ken also leaves to mourn dear nieces and nephews and his good friend Edson Ward. Ken will be dearly missed by his special little buddy, Troy. A special thank you to the angels who visited daily and were always there to help him through with their constant care, love, kindness and attention until the bitter end. I want to extend a special thank you to my angels: my mom (Irene), Auntie Ruth, Brenden and Kali who without your love, guidance and strong support I would not have been able to get through the tough times. Special thanks to our angels at Riverview A1 with our deepest gratitude and appreciation for the wonderful care, utmost respect, and dignity always shown to Ken. A private service was held on Thursday, December 19, 2013. Our grief is lessened by the closeness we feel as a family. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com
