• So sorry to hear of this. I went to school with Darren at Robert Andrews as well as River East Collegiate. I also had the chance to play hockey with Darren with the East St. Paul Aces. • My father (who was Darren's grandfather's brother), my brother and myself all had the wonderful opportunity to be invited to Darren and Kathy's wedding several years ago. Although my father has now passed on, he had, and my brother and I still have, fond memories of getting to meet 2 absolutely fantastic people and also getting to know our extended Lenko family out west. I also had a chance to reconnect with Darren and Kathy one more time as they hospitably opened their home to me when I came to visit Darren's mother in her final days. • I got the news from a school-friend that Darren and I grew up with from Robert Andrews School. I was shocked, I am so glad we had the chance to reconnect about a year ago and caught up. It was fun growing up with Darren and all our East-St Paul school friends lots of happy childhood memories, he always had a smile and was laughing. Life took us all in different directions but the sad news travelled fast in our group of classmates.
