NORMA SCHWEITZ Born June 4, 1925 Date of Passing December 21, 2013 Norma Schweitz (née Olson) passed away peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba on December 21, 2013 at the age of 88. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by Ernest, her beloved husband of 63 years, their children Karen Schweitz and Kenneth Schweitz; their two grandchildren Karla (Anthony) Johnson and Matthew Schweitz and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters and three brothers. She is predeceased by her parents Christopher and Karen (Carrie) Olson and two sisters. She was a wonderful and loving wife and mother. She always put her family's needs ahead of her own. She had a strong spirit and was always forgiving. She loved to cook and shop, however, these activities became very difficult for her once she lost most of her vision in the last few years of her life. She loved to talk and to laugh and anyone who met her instantly liked her. She had the most beautiful blue eyes and an engaging smile even throughout her illness. She always appreciated all the care she received and all the visits she received while in the hospital. You will be loved and missed forever, mom and we will see you again. A special thanks to Dr. C. Lowden, all the doctors and all the staff who took such good care of her at the Victoria General Hospital during the last seven weeks of her life. Thank you as well for all the support from family and friends during her illness and her passing. Cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
