JUSTIN ADAM FRANKLIN On December 24, 2013 Justin Adam Franklin passed away. Justin is survived by his father Jim, his mother Jo-Anne, his brother Curtis (Stephanie) and niece Monika, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Justin was born September 23, 1985, with a smile on his face, and that smile never stopped. Justin loved going to the lake, and spent every summer at the family cottage. If you were looking for Justin, you would find him down at the water, swimming, and playing for hours with Rocky in the water. Justin graduated from River East Collegiate in 2003, and has just been accepted into the Department of Radiology. Justin worked for the past 10 years for Winnipeg Airport Authority, he was knows as a hard working, reliable employee, and he enjoyed spending time with his fellow employees. • I met Justin when I was 11 and my family started going to Ditch Lake. Justin was 10 at the time and there were really no other kids our age to hang out with so we spent a lot of time together. We'd take our bikes on long rides around the other side of the lake and down the back roads, we would fish off my dock with sticks, line and a piece of lunch meat and we would tube behind his family boat until we couldn't lift our arms anymore. I haven't seen Justin for years, but those are some of my favorite memories from Ditch Lake. Curtis, Jo-anne and Jim, I'm so sorry for your loss. May Justin rest in peace. - Posted by: Erica Clarke (Lake Friend) on: Dec 30, 2013

  • Barb and I wish to express our condolences to you Jim and all your family. When we think of Justin we remember him and Erica laying face down on our dock at Ditch lake fishing for perch with the sticks and line with a hunk of wiener on them. Two young kids just being kids. • I have great memories of Justin's sense of humor. The guy could find humor in anything and relate it back to a Seinfeld episode. When you needed someone to talk to he would instantly be the most serious and thoughtful person. The airport will never be the same without him. - Posted by: Jamie Deacon (Friend, Co worker) on: Dec 30, 2013

  • We have many fond memories of Justin, especially as a little boy. Sliding down the muddy slope into the water at Ditch Lake and several fun times going out to cut down Xmas trees. Justin was always kind and considerate to others. We will sadly miss him. Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time. - Posted by: Dave and Penny Murray (Family Friends) on: Dec 30, 2013

  • Our deepest sympathy for your loss, thoughts and prayers for your family during this time - Posted by: Jackie and Bob Thornburrow (cousin) on: Dec 30, 2013

  • I have lots of fond memories of Justin growing up. One always sticks out though. We were at a hotel for a birthday party I think and us kids decided to play knock knock ginger...every time we knocked Justin and I wound up hiding in the same place. We laughed so hard. I hadn't seen him in a few years but always asked how he was or thought of him. The news of his passing breaks my heart as he was so full of smiles. My condolences to his family. He will be missed.
