Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALFRED RIESENBERGER It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of Alfred Riesenberger on December 30, 2013, at the age of 89 years. He is survived by his daughter Suzanne Riesenberger and his son-in-law Bob Solinske, and will be greatly missed by both family and friends. Fred was born in Laussa, Austria on June 8, 1924. It was during his move to Canada that he met his future wife of 54 years, Ilse Riesenberger. Together they moved several times throughout Manitoba, including to the Whiteshell, where they owned and operated a small business together. After he retired, Fred moved to Elie where he built their house almost single-handedly. Fred was a pilot during the Second World War and was an excellent chess player. He enjoyed watching sports on TV and spending time alone with the love of his life. Many thanks to the staff of his last residence, Middlechurch Personal Care Home. I and my Family wish the immediate Family our condolences! When I was young impressed me the story of uncle Fred, as he amigrated to Canada after the second world war! Unfortunately i could met him only once in my life in Laussa. In 2002 i was in Canada, but i did not get the chance to met him again!
