GERTRUDE (GERTIE) BRADLEY 1909 - 2014 With deep sadness, we say goodbye to our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, her 105th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband Gilbert in 1959, her granddaughter Tammy in August 2010, and five siblings. She leaves to mourn her passing, daughter Ferne (Terry); son Lorne; grandchildren Faye, Terrie Lynn (Christian) and Michael (Wendy); 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Mom was an active volunteer with the Variety Club, Golden Rule Seniors, and Glee Club singers. She will be remembered by her sense of humour, sociability, and willingness to help others. Her family would like to extend a warm thanks to all the staff at Bonny Vista for their love and care shown to Gertie over the past five years, especially Lana for her friendship and genuine concern. Also a special thanks to Dr. M. Bruneau, nursing staff, and health care aides for their compassionate care during mom's final days at Pinawa Hospital. In keeping with mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba, with Pastor Jake Doull officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Variety, the Children's Charity of Manitoba, Suite 2 - 1313 Border Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3H 0X4, or to a charity of one's choice.
